The first factor to think about is the shape of the toilet bowl. The main options are an elongated bowl and a round bowl. The round one tends to be two inches shorter, and functions well for small areas. The larger elongated bowl is really more comfortable and hygienic because there arefewer spills on the toilet.
The next factor to think about is the toilet size. There are lots of choices, with different lengths, widths and heights. Make sure you measure the area available for the toilet to make certain it fits. You also need to take into consideration how far the center of the toilet bowl is from the finished wall, because this limits the size of the toilet.
In the US, all toilets have to have a 1.6 gallon tank to conserve water. There are also one or two piece toilets. Two piece toilets are more typical and reasonably priced, and have a separate tank and bowl which are attached when the toilet is set up. One piece toilets have 5 or six components that are seamlessly linked into one piece. They are trendier, easier to clean, and much smaller, rendering it ideal for small rooms, however they are also more expensive.
Some toilets even have special features that make it simpler to use and maintain. There are toilets that have a higher seat, making sitting down and standing up a lot easier. One such toilet has a ceramic coat which hinders bacteria and mildew buildup, making the toilet very easy to clean. Another company even has an insulated liner that stops moisture accumulation on the exterior of the tank. A few luxury toilets even come with heated seats, warm air drying systems and built-in bidets!
Keep in mind that toilets come in a huge selection of color options, sizes and features. The more features, unique colors and sizes you want, the greater the price.
